The Robillard-St. Pierre Family
Maggie Robillard delivered her twin boys at 27 weeks on Dec. 13, 2010. Felix weighed 1 pound, 13 ounces and Kaiden weighed 2 pounds, 8 ounces. During the twins’ two-month stay at Crouse Hospital, Maggie, who lives in Alexandria Bay, called the CNY Ronald McDonald House “home” so she could be close to her boys during this difficult time.
When the twins were born, their father was stationed in Afghanistan. Tyler was granted leave from active duty and was able to come home on New Year’s Day to meet his boys. Maggie and Tyler found the House to be a supportive environment and called it “very much like home.”
Maggie and Tyler still keep in touch with some of the families they grew close to during their stay at the House.
The family has returned to stay at the house for follow-up doctor’s visit and also stopped by the CNY Ronald McDonald House for a visit when they were in Syracuse for a doctor’s appointment. The boys are healthy, happy and growing fast!
