RMHC of CNY Announces Promotion and New Team Members

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central New York has promoted Nicole Poplawski, of Syracuse, New York, to director of operations; and hired Rachel Murphy, of Manlius, New York, as director of communications.

Poplawski was previously house manager and has been with the organization for nearly six years. In her new role, Poplawski will oversee all operations of the CNY Ronald McDonald House, including managing guest services and fostering collaborative partnerships with local hospitals and healthcare professionals. She has an associate’s degree in hospitality management from the State University of New York at Delhi.

Murphy will oversee the nonprofit’s strategic marketing and communications initiatives, including managing, implementing and coordinating vendor relationships. She previously worked at Fleet Feet Syracuse in a variety of marketing roles, including most recently serving as marketing director. Prior to that, she was a public relations account manager at Pinckney Hugo Group. Murphy has a bachelor’s degree in communication from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Additionally, the nonprofit has expanded its family services team by adding three weekend relief staff members. The new members, Eunice Brawner, of Camillus, New York, Lori Casanova, of Cicero, New York, and Sara Montgomery Lee, of Syracuse, New York, join seven other members currently on the family services team.
